A Cross-Country Christmas by Courtney Walsh

5.0

This book gave me all the feels of a favorite Hallmark Christmas movie.

Lauren hasn't been home for the holidays in years, and with good reason. She's promised her brother that she'll make it home for the birth of his first child and reluctantly agrees to catch a ride with Will (her brother's childhood best friend & her former crush.) The two look at life in completely different ways and the cross-country road trip turns out to be a lesson in grace.

This book had me smiling from ear to ear and later wiping away a stray tear that caught me off guard. I wanted to resist the urge to read it before the holiday season, but patience isn't my strong suit. It turned out to be a great book to read during any season of life and I'd recommend it for anyone who needs something light and uplifting.
