Mark of Kóri by Stacey Willis

5.0

First of all, I would like to thank the author for the e-ARC copy of this book!

I have been waiting for this book for a while now and let me tell you that the author did not disappoint! One thing about this book is that plot twists keep coming and coming (it was probably my favourite thing about it) and it left you unable to put it down. I was holding my breath my entire time. And I finished this in a day; it was that good!

You can definitely see differences in terms of writing from book one to book three and I'm so happy to see how much Stacey has evolved. This was beautifully written; not too poetic to become unbearable to read but not too simple either. It was the perfect mix!

There's laughter, love and heartbreak throughout this whole book and while the need to cry over the ending is still there (and will probably still exist till Heir Of Bones comes out next summer), I enjoyed it so much that I'm already rereading it again. Because it's all worth it. Kori's self-discovery (some of which really hit home, especially in part three), the betrayals that appeared out of nowhere, and the love and pain that consumed the characters.; they made it all worth it.

Definitely, a must-read! I'm never going to stop recommending this book or this author.
