House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J. Maas

adventurous challenging dark emotional funny hopeful fast-paced

5.0

my favorite of all 3 cc books. so well paced, i felt like the plot was just nonstop in a good way. the info dumps were a little long but i was really pleasantly surprised that they made sense (heh. sorry sjm. but good job!).

lidia really came out of nowhere in this book and earned herself a spot in my top 5 sjm women of all time character list. without getting spoilery, she really came and cemented herself as a brave badass with a heart of gold. and in that realm, i loved ruhn in this book. i liked him more here than i did in the other two books overall. so great, even if he bothered me at times

and speaking of bothering me.......... bryce be nice to hunt PLEASE. I love bryce so dearly but she was really shitty to hunt at times when i felt that he was just trying his best and being a great and supportive mate, even when he disagreed with her.

the acotar appearances were fun and nesta i will love you till the day i die

this book didnt feel like 850 pages, it felt so much shorter and i can't wait to reread it
