This was one of the worst books that I've read in a long time. I had never read a Danielle Steel novel before, and she's so prolific that I figured I would test this one out. While normally I would give the author the benefit of the doubt and just say "I'm not into this genre," this book was objectively terrible. SO REPETITIVE, oh my goodness!!! How many times do we have to hear about Natasha being beautiful, or grateful, or etc. etc. or Vladimir being rich?! Sometimes entire phrases would pop up over and over again. Such lazy writing and editing! There was almost no plot, the climax was nonexistent, and all the characters are 1-dimensional and boring stereotypes. The rich and cruel Russians... the starving artists... the widow who won't let go... so trope-y and boring! I don't recommend this book. I feel like I just wasted an afternoon.
