Blood Sisters by Graham Masterton

The Katie Maguire series is a continuing story with one book leading off where the previous finished with the addition of a series of brutal crimes thrown into the mix. In this book the brutal murder of a nun is just the beginning of a series of gruesome murders. Overlaying this is the day to day pressure of leading a personal life away from work. Something that is not easy when there is one hurdle after another being thrown her way to happiness. And then there is the problem of trying to be a female police officer in a very religious and patriarchal society that resents female police officers.

An enjoyable read and only makes me want to read the next in the series just to find out what happens to Katie Maguire and her complicated private life.
