A lovely book about loss and finding a way forward that is narrated by an octopus. And it’s not bonkers. And, even though it’s pretty obvious from, at least the midpoint, the answer to the main characters’ problems, the author does a good job of building the emotional tension to keep interest in the story. And the HEA is satisfying.
Graphic: Animal death, Child death, and Abandonment
Moderate: Addiction and Drug abuse
Minor: Cancer and Pregnancy
