Last Call at the Local

I really wanted to give this book a go! I read Luck and Last Resorts first and enjoyed it a lot, and when I went back to read Love, Lists & Fancy Ships, I liked it as well. Neither one struck me as truly ~*amaaaazing*~ but both were fun to read. I had really been looking forward to this third book, especially since the male main character is an Irishman with OCD.
However, this book is just filled with things that do not work for me. We've got instalove. Raine is maybe not a textbook Manic Pixie Dream Girl, but she's definitely an adorkable, quirky free spirit whose family just doesn't understand her. We've got banter that comes off as cringe-inducing, not flirty. We've got the entirely unrealistic set-up so that Raine can be the entertainment coordinator. We've got the colorful Irish locals who take Raine in and just want to see ol' Jackie succeed.
From other reviews, I can see that this isn't going to become more enjoyable for me. I won't give up on the author, but I am definitely going to give up on this book.
