I LOVED THISSSSSS. This was SO MUCH better than the first one. Dyl and Starlet’s relationship advanced so fluidly and natural. The little mentions from the past and their history made everything SO SO SOOOOO much better.

Dylan
Since the first book I already knew he was gonna be my fave. He had the bad boy thing going and i just... YES. Here we see his grown up side and jesus christ he is fcking HOT. AND SO SWEET. He was my favorite because we saw his upbringing and his growth. We got to see his character development since the last book and I just fcking love him.

Scarlett
Loved her. She wasn’t dramatic like her sister (fck her) and she just said what needed to be said. She was perfect for Dyl. Loved the fact that, even though she had a crush for him for decade, once they start hanging out she realizes it was a crush and just acts like a NORMAL PERSON. Loved that she set boundaries and wasn’t willing to give anything until she was ready. UGH. LOVED HER.

Conflict
This is where I got a little bit disappointed. I wished it wasn’t only about Sienna. I thought it was going to be a combination of Simon and Sienna. I was waiting for that moment where Scarlett chose Dylan and said to her parents “I love him, fuckers”. I CRAVED that. I needed that fulfilling moment. My boy Dyl deserved everything Sienna denied him. The real conflict was pretty meh honestly, not my favorite part of the book. But LOVED that dyl waited for Starlet to finish her stuff. He knew it was important to her, ughhh we love a thoughtful king.

Why not 5 stars?
- The conflict! Needed that moment!!!!
- The sexy scenes at the beginning weren’t suuuuper steamy. They got better, but I didn’t like them at first. They were weirdly described and too short heh.
- A bit between the 30-50% of the book felt dragged. Kinda boring, but I think that was just me. It wasn’t boring, per se, just slow.

Honestly, this was great. It had a great balance of everything. Loved it loved it loved it. Not like, the best thing I’ve read in my life, but an upgrade from the first. I’m so happy I stuck around.
