Last Girls by Demetra Brodsky

Going into this book I wasn't sure if I should expect full cult or if I should expect an actual end of the world, and in the end I did get one of these things and I really enjoyed the story.

I loved Honey as a character, though my favorite was probably Blue, between her falcon and her eloquent and almost eerie observations. The only one I didn't really like was Birdie. I found her very irritating and too willing to put her family in danger for what she wanted. Though some of her actions helped them in the end, most seemed to create more problems.

I loved the twists written into the story, though it took me an embarrassingly long time to put two and two together. It was really interesting to read and finally making the connection was very satisfying, though it took me a while.

My one big complaint was the second pov. Until I finally made the connection, those chapters really confused and frustrated me. I understand the reason they were written that way, with how the book ended, but they were still distracting to read that way. Because of this, I wasn't interested in these chapters, which played a role in my delay in putting the picture together.
