I picked up this again three years later since i was gifted the second book for Christmas. Truly i remember loving this book with all of my heart, but couldn’t quite place the details of what actually happened. Which to be fair, was mostly a lot of inner monologue by Ari. I absolutely love this book, it being one of the first achillean books I’ve read prior to coming out and fully accepting to myself. I love everything about these two boys and reading about their growth as people truly gave me hope for my own future. I can’t wait to read more in the second book!
