Thornhedge by T. Kingfisher

5.0

It is very very rare that I reread books. This was an exception. I'm making my way through everything T. Kingfisher has written (except the horror but I may read that at some point too). I saw that she had a new fair  tale retelling releasing, and I was able to get an advanced copy.
It is very short so I devoured it in a single sitting. But then it was over. Now that it has officially released, I was able to listen to it as well. Again, it's very short so I finished it in just a couple hours but it was worth it to read again.
I loved that Toadling finds love exactly how she is. I loved the realistic feel of the world and the people who occupy it.
I both loved and hated the length. Everything in the story mattered because space was so limited, but at the same time I wanted more. I really wanted more of Toadling with Halim. I don't think there will be a sequel but if there is, I'll read the heck out of it.
