Definitely my favourite of the series (so far) but I'm still aggravated by the non-committed aspects of their relationship. When she finally is ready to give the green light, Blake goes off the boil and vice versa. I understand why he needed to have Tabitha's help, but why would he keep sharing meals with her? It was terribly crass and don't tell me he wouldn't know how it would be perceived when he told Elena - told her! - she was no match for Tabitha. Blake is an idiot.
Don't get me started on her friends - they are supposed to support her not keep bludgeoning her with the 'Blake is good' spoon. It seems inconceivable to me that they wouldn't understand her POV when she has no freaking clue what has been happening and they won't tell her; then, she'd made to feel guilty for not being understanding in turn. What? I do think this was written in for the sake of drama but it just made them all look immature.
At the end (Starlight) it is teeth-clenchingly annoying that he feels affronted at her making a promise to Tabitha to not get romantically involved with him at a time when he was assuring Tabitha of the same things. Grrr. Hypocrite, selfish, refusing to understand, feels unjustifiably let down... Blake, you need a good, hard kick up the backside. Get on her side, fully, and stop whining. You were bad, bad, bad and now you need to suck it up and find solutions.
The highlight of my book is when Go girl!
