I am obsessed with Ruth Ozeki and how her brain works. Inventive, compassionate, sensitive, vulnerable, funny… her writing hits all the notes. I am alive with the premise of this book — the idea that objects have desires, books have thoughts and feelings (or us that real?) — and her exploration of trauma and mental illness, philosophy, family (chosen and born), and growing up with a ‘creative mind.’ Can’t get enough of RO, definitely a re-reader and a book I will tell everyone to read and then be worried they won’t love it as I do and I’ll be so sad.
