After being captured by the government, Rowan is experimented on and she lives 3 months being a whole other person called Yarrow; a rich first child whose mother is a Circle worker. She lives in the best boarding school in the inner circles and is friends with the most popular girl in the school. Lark enters the school on a mission to give Rowan her memory back in order to rebel against the Center.
