Wild Blades: A Hockey Romance by VH Nicholson is book two in the Elite Eagles series and I love it!! If you like books about sports romance, hockey, reverse age gap, and opposites attract, then you will love this book.

Wade was raised by his single mother who didn’t care for him at all and he didn’t know who his father was. He was raised and loved by Gretchen, his grandfathers housekeeper. He considered her his mom and she in return loved him like he was hers. A year after losing Gretchen he’s spiraling out of  control drinking and fighting. The owners of his hockey team have had enough and decided to create a team to help improve his image with a nutritionist, therapist, an assistant, and a new publicist, Kali.

Kali is a former model turned publicist, is trying to build her new agency. She agrees to be Wades publicist, in exchange for a contract with the Eagles. Still reeling from a bad break up, she thinks this will be a good distraction and it gives her a chance to reform Wade’s image.

I loved following Wade and Kali’s  journey. Her fear of falling for a younger man and being cheated on again. His fear of not being loved or good enough. Together they overcame their fears with patience. I not only loved the main character I really enjoyed the side characters as well. I cannot wait for the next book. I could read this book again because I loved it so much!! I was given this book as an ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.
