capsicum 's review for:
Charlotte's Web
by E.B. White
- Even though it's a kid's book it was still good to read.
- I used to like the movie as a kid so it was great to read the book it was telling the story of.
- Liked the messages of life and death, language, and friendship in this book.
- Wilbur does not deserve Charlotte as a friend. Although, he's young, so he wouldn't appreciate her as well as he should've, but I felt like the friendship was very one-sided.
- Charlotte died with no one around. There was a line in the book at her death that was really sad and poignant for me.
- Loved that a couple of Charlotte's kids stayed with Wilbur in the end, because Wilbur loved their mum and they loved that sentiment.
