Foundation is always lauded as a pinnicle of sci-fi I think I understand why now. There are time jumps and a lot of changes of main characters so if that bothers you then this is not the book for you. I personally didn't mind. The fate of the foundation was the through thread and it was tense enough to pull me through. The "heroes" of this story are arrogant but highly intelligent men who send a problem coming and figure out a solution skipping past things like morals or loyalty or fear they just stride towards their solutions with full confidence but it wasn't grating or off-putting it really was intriguing and exciting to me. Excited to read the next one
