A Wallflower Christmas by Lisa Kleypas

5.0

I don’t know what to say about A Wallflower Christmas other than that I loved it! I just finished Scandal in Spring before reading this, so I can’t really say that I had time to miss them at all, but nevertheless, I loved seeing the Wallflowers gang all back together again and up to their old tricks once more. I always have a good time with these ladies and their men and while the romance between Rafe and his lady was undoubtedly my favorite part, the friendship between the women by themselves and especially when they added Rafe’s woman into it was a close second. A Wallflower Christmas was utterly delightful and I couldn’t have asked for a better little Christmas story featuring our Wallflowers!

One of the reasons I loved this book so much was due to the oldest Bowman brother, Rafe! I don’t love him quite as much as Westcliff, but he did take Matthew’s place as my next favorite and I know this will be blasphemous to the fandom, but he was everything I had wanted St. Vincent to be before I read Devil In Winter, but didn’t get there all the way. Now before you get your pitchforks, I do love St. Vincent, he’s lovely, I just didn’t fall for him like I thought I was going to and trust me, no one is more disappointed about that than me. Anyway, I feel like Rafe makes more sense to me than St. Vincent does and I couldn’t help but feel for him for all he’s been through and I couldn’t stop myself from falling for him.

If you stuck around after that last paragraph and if you are trying to decide whether or not to read A Wallflower Christmas, go for it! Seriously get it, read it, and love it! If you love this series, you’ll love this book, if you love Westcliff and St. Vincent, I guarantee you’ll love Rafe and I’m sure you’ll love the heroine — she’s strong, opinionated, warm, and sweet. It’s an excellently fantastic story and it’s so worth your time!
