THIS IS A ARC REVIEW, and may have spoilers.

The first book in this series was amazing. I can easily see this becoming a cult classic, and I am just sitting on the edge of my seat for the next book.

This story follows Vi’eri Trueblade, as she tells the tale of how she got to be where she is at that moment, at the cusp of war. Where humans are on the bottom of an interesting hierarchy, where the Deminean are the ruling class.

Vi’eri, or Eri as she is called at times is a hybrid between humans and the Deminean. Something that has been prophesied, and not always in a good light. Throughout the story Eri, finds herself in need of immense power, something that seems to be granted to her by ‘the voice’. Is the voice good? Is the voice bad? Do the people along the way only want to use Eri for the powers she has?

Well, you gotta read it to find that out, I am not going to spoil everything. Just know this, if you enjoy fantasy, good world building, and vivid characters that come to life on the page.. This is the book/series for you.
