12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos
by Jordan B. Peterson
I would give this book a 6.5/10. Jordan Peterson is an incredible thinker and writer who presents some brilliant ideas throughout this book. He dives into issues of personal character and growth, morality, duty, and more. I gave it a slightly lower rating because I felt that he could have been a little more succinct with some of his points in addition to worldview differences. I disagree with the way that he views the Bible, but its not so much that I mind the disagreement as much as lack of logical grounding for some of his arguments. It seems as though he is some kind of biblical agnostic, but he views the majority of scripture as metaphorical, yet still uses it for many of his arguments. When it comes to morality and virtue, I was just confused as to how or what he was grounding his beliefs in.
