This book was so good the first time I read it, that I had to take it back off the shelf for a re-read only a couple of years later. It was more complex and cryptic than I remembered the second time around but I was still obsessed with it! A page didn't go by when I didn't think 'how can that come out of someone's imagination!!??'. Hilary Mantel is a genius novelist.
