Waypoints: My Scottish Journey

What a genuinely lovely guy. Alas, I have never seen or read Outlander (I simply couldn't, I don't do well with historical violence), but this is testament to say that you truly don't need to know about it in order to enjoy a hike along the West Highland Way with Sam Heughan (although I'm sure those of you who have, would enjoy it all the same).
I first encountered Sam on Men in Kilts (as well as the accompanying book) which I watched/read due to my love of Scotland, and let me tell you, this book is nothing different. Equal parts funny, poignant and just so utterly relatable at times it was weird, this memoir was a delight to listen to!
(The audio also has (bonus?) content from Sam's video/audio diaries from the hike at the end of each chapter, plus I highly recommend it for his hilarious impersonations and accents)
5 stars
