A hot mountain man and a bruised battered beauty in a isolated cabin in snowy woods?! This story was a blast! It started off mysterious and filled with tension. Nicoli is living in the middle of the woods with his dog when he finds Winter - a beaten girl that has no memory of her past. He rescues her, names her, protects her and eventually loves her. The plot was like a movie - with heroes and villains, romance and action, and family drama. Winter is being hunted by men and Nic starts to extract revenge on them. Turns out he belongs to a mafia family that they eventually return to. But even in civilized society, they manage to be savage with each other. And the final plot twist was surprisingly good. Turns out Winter is Sasha who's married to a different mafia leader that was abusing her and had her kidnapped and beaten to memory loss. Nic obviously once again rescues her and it was exhilarating.
