This is so far the most Elena-focused installment in the quartet. I love the complexity of her feelings throughout, even though she never makes a decision that I agree with in the entire book. After all the mental gymnastics she has gone through in life up to this point, no part of me is shocked that shejust sort of loses her mind by the end and makes all the decisions she herself was highly critical of when it was Lila. I want to support women’s rights and wrongs, but she makes it sooooo difficult.
