I just wish the writing style for this wasn't so cringe-inducing, because for the most part I love it otherwise. Well, I also wish we could get perspectives outside of Elma because she's a very tedious head to be in. But the characters are really interesting, the conflict is great to follow, and I love the world Kowal has built. I just think I'd rather read anything else than another rocket launch sex metaphor.
