It’s really a miracle I even finished this book. It was so hard to get into it. I don’t normally struggle with varying POVs but this one was difficult because of how it was written. I get why she did it that way, but it was really hard to keep track of what was happening.
Don’t set your sights on it being a murder mystery or a thriller in that sense. There is both - murder and mystery - and we do go through the motions of trying to investigate those, but the story is more about the author and her main character.
This deals with some sensitive topics: miscarriages, infidelity, mental health...so if those are difficult for you, keep that in mind. I honestly can’t recommend this one, though, just because it was kind of boring and confusing as hell.
