Playmaker by Deanna Faison
4.0
funny lighthearted medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No

The highlights: brother’s best friend, childhood friends, dual POV, spicy.

The tension at the beginning of the book was so good, as was the spice. Then Cam dropped his flirty player vibe as soon as they hooked up. Tension, gone.

The first half was easily five stars. After the 60% mark it kind of dropped off for me. Maddie became insecure and whiny.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for my advanced digital copy!
