I really wanted to love this book. It was like a mystery novel almost. The interludes were really interesting.

I had a hard time following though - it was almost a stream of consciousness with blackout periods. I re-read many times just to notice the author had left into out. I bet it was all thoughtful and purposeful and the characters are super interesting. She clearly did a lot of research for this book.

But overall it just wasn’t it for me. Maybe I’m too basic?
