Why do I have to wait until next year for book 2, I want it now 😭. I loved this book, way more than I was expecting. I got to about page 100 and then I was all in and I just knew it was going to be a 5 star for me.

Briony and Toven have been on opposing sides of a war that was bound to happen their whole lives but they have also been drawn to eachother from the very beginning. I don't always love going back and forth into the past and present in books but I think this was crucial to the relationship development of the MMC's. We definitely get to see the growth between them and my god I am living for it. This is a slow burn in the best type of way.

I will say it is important to read the content warning before going into this world, but Julie has written so well that even the harder parts within this story is done in a tasteful manner.

For any romantasy lovers out there, I couldn't recommend this book enough 🖤💜.
