Another KQ masterpiece! Kate always does her homework on the themes, history and characters. Definitely don’t read the historical note ahead of the book on this one because of spoilers-but they do warn you of that, at least in the audiobook. It’s a bit slow to start which is why I took of .75 stars but not enough to make me not want to finish it. The story is captivating and I love the style of hearing from each characters perspective in full instead of flipping back and forth. It’s unique and as always, makes me want to google more about the factual events discussed in the book.
