I am not a huge fan of erotica, but this was honestly quite good. If I got in the mood for erotica again, I would definitely come back to this author (I am also a fat, tattooed, polyamorous bisexual so I should have realized I'd like her work lol). Good consent and safety talk without being heavy-handed, bi rep, good polyam rep (obviously), a little tiny bit of body diversity, a fairly interesting story to tie the spicy scenes together (lol). Definitely would recommend to anyone who is in the mood for it, I think it is high quality erotica. And romance! More romance than I was expecting. A really good romance!! The characters felt a lot more real and vibrant than is traditional for /just/ erotica. Very pleasantly surprised at how good the story is and how well the author understands polyamory, bisexuality, sexuality in general, love, romance, emotional vulnerability. A thumbs up from me for this one. It took me a little while to get into it, I wasn't sure about Hannah at first, but it definitely got better. And as a polyamorous person, really high quality polyam representation just makes my heart happy. Especially because, while this is spicy - and I mean SPICY - it is made abundantly clear that this relationship is romantic and caring and full of love and not JUST about sex. I appreciate how informative it is too, because these people are learning about polyamory so audience learns alongside them. I feel like the world would be a better place if more people knew what polyamory actually was and how to practice it well, so if you're polyam-curious and want to read a really good romance-erotica, pick this one up.
