“Silently promising one other that in the layers of uncertain darkness, we are each other’s light.”
Fate of the Sun King is a fantastic addition to Artefacts of Ouranos series!
Told in multiple POVs and alternating timelines between the past and presents, I was intrigued by reading from the perspectives of different rulers in the past as I get to know more about Ouranos, the artefacts, the gods and goddess.
The world building is not the only thing I like about in this series, the loveable characters are hard to miss. I absolutely love the found family trope found in this series – it was shown by the way Lor and her siblings love and protect each other, as well as Nadir’s friends that always had his back.
Not to mention Nadir and Lor’s love is absolutely delightful to see - The spice, the tension, the lovey dovey moments are here for both of our main characters!
The last few chapters were quite intense especially with lots of twists and turns thrown in there, I was holding my breath when I was reading through Gabriel’s POV!!
With those twists, comes a lot of questions in my head but sadly when I was looking for it A HUGE CLIFF-HANGER was waiting for me at the end….
Overall, this was an enjoyable and entertaining read.
I know this was gonna be a great book when I finished a 500-ish page of book in under 48 hours!
My only wish was for book 4 to be released as soon as possible because I need answers!!
I received an advanced review copy for free through Netgalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Huge thank you to the author and publisher!
