The book seems written with a Western view of Japan which the author is unaware of himself. It was filled with stereotyping and simplifying Japanese culture/issues. The constant use of Japanese terms with zero explanation or hints to what they could be was very annoying, most seemed unnecessary to use. It made the book feel like it was written by a weeaboo.
