(Notes on re-read at the end)

Original review: This turned out to be exactly the book I needed to read this week— fast-paced and funny without being fluffy, heartfelt and endearing without being sappy. It has been so thoroughly hyped that I can’t imagine anyone needs a plot summary. It is truly that rare book you think can’t possibly be as good as everyone says it is, and then it is. Four and a half stars rounded up to five.

Re-read- halfway through re-reading RWRB (as it has come to be known among its die-hard fans), I couldn’t remember why I loved it so much the first time. It was fun, but it wasn’t that great. But then I got to the part where everything falls apart (so that it can then be fixed, as happens in all the best romcoms), and from there to the end, it’s just an explosion of hope and human decency. Once again, it was exactly the book I needed to read right now.
