Find Me by André Aciman

3.25

I read all of Elio and Michel and Elio and Oliver reunited. What struck me the most was Aciman’s portrayal of love in a manner that’s not so linear- time moves forwards but pieces of us may get stuck in moments and feelings from the past- we can only keep going through our personal timelines once we unfreeze those parts of ourselves. It’s also comforting to imagine that we live on in pockets of love, which we may return to or may not, and that regardless, they aren’t wasted or insufficient
