An Unforgettable Christmas by Ginny Baird

5.0

How I love a Christmas story, and this book was the perfect Christmas read! Angie is a young widower and single mother who lives in a loving multi-generational home. Angie works at a jewelry store and loves her job and the customers she serves. Sam is the owner of the store who works alongside her. Sam’s a little distant is his manner, with no real interests outside of his store.

One day Sam has an accident and develops memory loss and is told he cannot be left to recover on his own. Angie’s family takes him in to recover in their home in the days leading up to Christmas Day. Sam’s illness makes him a happier, more friendly man. He begins to repair relationships with those he has estranged. Furthermore, the attraction between Angie and Sam cannot be denied. But the question remains - when Sam recovers, will the attraction still be there?

I loved this story and hope it will become a Hallmark movie at some point in time. I loved the cultural Christmas traditions that Angie’s family practiced which really brought in a unique Christmas experience. I found it heart-warming that the central theme of the book was the importance of family - something that is near and dear to my heart. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good holiday romance book.
