Errr... this book was a little disappointing. It had potential to be a perfectly fine, average, book, but it just didn't quite live up to that. The book is padded with unnecessary backstories, and the actual story moves really slowly and not a lot happens in it anyways. The characters were minimally interesting. They had their interesting moments, but for the most part they seemed pretty bland. The parts that I guess were supposed to be funny didn't come across that way to me. I get that this book was trying to be unique and stand out from all the other YA Fiction books out there, but just because something's different, doesn't automatically make it good. I don't quite want to give it one star because I can recognize that this at least could be better if it was rewritten. So, in a sentence: this was an average story that was poorly executed into a book.
