Really enjoyed nearly all of this book, despite wishing it were 50-75 pages less sometimes, but the ending falls apart a bit. The author also choosing to

redeem the husband's severe binge drinking/abandonment problems with a hand waving "he drank and hurt me only because he didn't think he deserved me"

was a choice that had me rolling my eyes - just let characters have negative traits! 

Originally was gonna give it a 4 star rating, but the ending really seemed rushed compared to the front 85%.
