The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth
4.0

The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth is thrilling, frustrating, humorous, and heartwarming! I did not expect the narrative I read when I first picked up this book. In all honesty, I am in love with the fact that I was so surprised.
What I thought would be a book about two sisters looking out for each other quickly defied my expectations. I was sucked into a story about a woman on the spectrum who is moving through her life with a stable job, limited friendships, and a content view of her experiences. She has her sister and the library. Her life is soon transformed as she meets new people, undercovers secrets from her past, and opens her eyes to how great her life can be.
I loved the style Hepworth utilized in this book. Each chapter is told from the perspective of the main character but ends with a journal entry from the narrator's sister. This creates an air of mystery, excitement, and curiosity in the reader.
I suggest this book to anyone! The narrative is endearing while thrilling and suspenseful. I found myself wanting to enter the book and tell the characters what to do!
