End of Story by Kylie Scott

2.0

Cute concept but I think I didn’t emotionally connect to the characters like I needed to. The language used during the sexy scenes was jarring and again because I didn’t connect to the characters it felt strange. It was also fairly short and I listened to the story mainly on audiobook trying to multitask so maybe that’s why I wasn’t connecting. I still think I will be recommending it for anyone looking for that slight HGTV reno romance vibes but just as a romance book maybe not so much. End of Story follows Susie Bowen, who inherits a fixer-upper from her aunt and hires Lars, her ex-boyfriend's best friend, to do the repairs. Despite their rocky history, they work together to uncover a mysterious divorce certificate that has both of their names on it, dated ten years into the future.
