It's really an indulgence to be back in the Casson world, and the joy of that is mostly what carried me through the book. Like other reviewers, I thought it was a shame that we've switched to a third-person perspective, and this was probably a bit harder to come to grips with when listening to the audiobook rather than reading it. However, Rose, whose perspective dominates the book, is the most compelling and interesting of the Cassons for me, and it is delightful to see more of her inner world than the first three books could give. As for plot ... I couldn't really engage with the plot until it was Caddy's wedding, and then it got quite thrilling!
