Meaty: Essays by Samantha Irby

4.0

Irby always manages to get me laughing but sometimes in discomfort! I love how candid and relateable she is, but I worry about the level of her self-deprecation sometimes! I hope she is ok. She is clearly someone who has used humour as a shield for dealing with some pretty hard life stuff, and this book goes into some of that. She does have a particularly 'schtick' in her writing that does lend itself better to periodic blogs than an all-in-one-sitting read, so I recommend doing an essay here and there to avoid oversaturation.
