Meet Cute Diary by Emery Lee

5.0

5 stars!

This was indeed SUPER CUTE! I already had high expectations going into this book and it really delivered.

Meet Cute Diary follows Noah on his journey of trying to save his blog of anonymous meet cute stories for trans teens. Noah believes he’s an expert on love due to his super successful blog - but all his meet cute stories are fake. When someone exposes the blog as fake online, Noah sees his beacon of hope for trans teens go down the drain. The only hope is to somehow convince everyone that the stories as real. Enter Drew, a cute boy who works at a bookstore. Drew is willing to fake date Noah in order to save his blog! As Noah navigates his dating in real life, he realises just how different it can be from his stories.

Lee’s writing is so easy to flow through and this is the kind of story you won’t want to put down. The diverse cast of characters is incredibly genuine and really well developed. Not only Noah, but also the side characters, create such a sense of being back in a teenager’s brains with all their worries and anxieties.

This book is entertaining and cute and educational and just overall an incredible YA read that is sure to drown your heart in loveliness.
