Really enjoyed the book as both a sort of prequel and sequel to the original trilogy. I appreciated that Vandermeer doesn’t hold the reader’s hands too much and respects our ability to figure things out ourselves, but there definitely some points that were harder to follow (though I suppose that’s intentional)
