Wings by Aprilynne Pike
3.0

Okay, this book is fine but not fine enough for me to give 4 star.
Before I talk any further-I mean write, I'm sorry for any grammar errors cause I'm not English or American.

I like the concept about the fairy thing, flower wings, and Aprilynne Pike makes it fun to learn biology. It's quite light to read after you adapt to third-person-POV. I know, cause I was annoyed too when I was reading the first 3 chapters, but eventually I managed to enjoy "Wings" after Laurel met Tamani. Enjoyable is one of my criteria to put a book in my favorites-shelf.

At first I love David's character, kind and calm and good at biology but doesn't look like a nerd. However, Tamani's braveness and straightforwardness impressed me a bit. Gradually I start to like Tam's personality too.

Even though I like this novel, there are some things that annoyed me in "Wings".

How come Laurel kisses Tamani after she kisses David before? Because of memories start to return to her brain? Maybe. Just because David is not there? And other because(s) that pop out in my mind. Too long to write and express them.
So, through her actions, I think she's very changeable (rude word: cheap)

Let's move to the other negative opinion. When Laurel's checked by the doctor, How on earth the doctor isn't surprised and why the hell he didn't tell her parents that Laurel didn't have a heart!! (organ) What kind of doctor is he. This doesn't make sense at all.

Luckily, I finished reading this half-good-and-bad book. *phew*

As I wrote before, enjoyable is one of my criteria for being my favorite book. However, with these weird things, "Wings" is not my favorite. Well, but for a debut novel, it's not bad at all.
