Miracle on 5th Avenue by Sarah Morgan

3.0

This was a cute, quick read. Some elements reminded me of Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating, such as the fun, loud girl and the quiet, kind of broody love interest, but this book actually did a better job, in my opinion.

The characters were more likeable. It was nice seeing all the other side characters I was already familiar with, especially Paige and Jake (who are still my favourite couple in the series). The first book is still my favourite in the series, but I must say that I appreciate how all three protagonists have such distinct voices. I can almost always tell who the chapter quote is from before being told. I like that their personalities are so well-defined.

This book was the steamiest of the three, I think, but to be honest, I'm not too big a fan of the way this author does them. They were just a a bit meh to me. I suppose it's possible that because I wasn't as invested in the relationship, I didn't really care about the sex scenes either.

To me, the reading (well, listening actually since I did the audiobook) experience was kind of like watching a cheesy holiday romcom and I liked that. It was fun and short and I had a pretty good time. The relationship wasn't terrible but it was also not very memorable. Overall, an okay read.
