An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green
5.0
Hank Green, I hate you for captivating me into the world of scifi with this aptly named creation of yours. The relatability, research and writing style is inspiring me to write about some of my old ideas that never saw the light. From the start, to the finish, it felt like I was so invested in the story and the characters, and could only keep wishing that something like this would happen in real life. Bring everyone together to collectively work on figuring out a puzzle to show how amazing our spirit can be. Yet the book also captured the dark and shameful aspects of humans in this world that loves dichotomies, dogma and persecuting the opposition. Especially love the fact that the story showed aspects where both sides of the issue get played which I feel is a very real problem in this world with random pundits keep being fed us, to push some narratives. I can honestly say, I am ready for a beautifully foolish endeavor.
