QOTD: What are your thoughts about a full book to set the scene for an entire series?
This book was sloooooooooow and difficult to pick back up but I see what you did there King! This is my second king novel and I was left wanting more. I have read other reviews on this novel and most people have stated that this novel is to set the scene of the series. Once I read, I would absolutely agree.
I enjoyed reading about the gunslinger world and his history like how Roland became the gunslinger and it did take time for me to understand the world king was describing. That was one of the downfalls of the novel for me. King would spend time building up this world and then flashback! Losing where you were when we come back.
I have rated this novel 4 stars. Even though I found the book slow, it left me with so many questions that I need to know. I am going to trust the process and continue reading the series.
