Hood Feminism: Notes from the Women That a Movement Forgot by Mikki Kendall
4.0
I can think of a few people in my life who I'd recommend this book to in particular, and it's a book I wish I could have read in my early 20s myself. I'm glad to have finally read it! I'd say give it a read even if the concepts aren't something new to you--they aren't new to me now, either, but that's likely because Kendall and others have done so much work to make many of these concepts more widely understood and accepted in the first place! And if you're like me, you prefer to have read something before recommending it. :)
