A bit conflicted here. It's a lighthearted, fun book, but it felt like it was doing a bit too much. The "Eyre affair" part of The Eyre Affair didn't really get started until about the 80% mark. There were a lot of sub-plots and world building that happened before that. I enjoyed it, but I feel like it could have been a much tighter book and packed a bigger punch. Will I read another Thursday Next novel? ... maybe.
